LED & Glass Neon
What is LED neon?
LED neon signs use energy-efficient LED lights housed inside flexible silicone tubing to create a smooth, continuous glow. They are lightweight, durable, and ideal for detailed shapes, lettering, and custom designs.
What is traditional glass neon?
Traditional glass neon signs are made from glass tubes that are heated and shaped by hand, then filled with neon or other gases to create their distinctive glow. They offer the authentic look and character of classic neon signage but are more fragile than LED neon and require extra care during handling and installation.
Backing Options
The backing supports the neon and helps make the finished sign easier to mount, hang, or display. Available options vary by neon type, design, size, and installation requirements.

Acrylic White
A solid white backing that gives the neon a brighter, more defined appearance.
Acrylic Black
A solid black backing that creates strong contrast around the illuminated design.
Traditional Glass Neon Backing
Traditional glass neon signs use different backing options depending on the design, size, and installation requirements.

ACP Black
A durable solid panel with a dark finish and strong contrast.
Size & Dimensions
Which sizes are available?
Most designs are available in 50 cm (20 in), 70 cm (28 in), and 90 cm (35 in). Selected LED designs are also available in 120 cm (47 in).
The listed size refers to the longest side of the finished backing. Send us your design or a product link, and we’ll confirm the exact width and height. Contact us for larger or custom sizes.
What does “longest side” mean?
The size shown on the product page refers to the longest side of the finished backing, not both the width and height.
For example, if a vertical sign has an acrylic backing measuring 39 cm wide and 50 cm high, its listed size will be 50 cm because the height is its longest side.
For a horizontal design, the longest side is usually the width.
For a vertical design, the longest side is usually the height.
The shorter side is scaled proportionally to preserve the original proportions of the design.
Will a large sign be made in sections?
Signs wider than 110 cm (43 in) may be made in two or more sections, depending on the design, backing, and shipping requirements. When mounting the sign, the separation will be barely visible, and it makes the sign stronger.
Colors & RGB
Which LED neon colors are available?
LED neon signs are available in 10 single-color options. Please refer to our color palette for the available choices.
Can an LED neon sign change color?
Yes. Compatible LED neon designs are available with a multicolor RGB option. The included remote allows you to choose from more than seven colors, with one color displayed at a time.
Which traditional glass neon colors are available?
Traditional glass neon is available in nine colors: red, pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, ice blue, purple, and white.
Please note that colors may appear slightly different depending on the neon type, camera, screen settings, room lighting, and surrounding wall color. Some product images are digital renderings or may show a different material or color option. Your finished sign will be made according to the options selected on the product page.
Features & Custom Finishes
Can my neon sign be displayed on a table or counter?
Yes. Selected LED and traditional glass neon designs can be made as freestanding displays for placement on a table, counter, shelf, or other flat surface. Available stand options depend on the neon type, design, and size.
Acrylic Box Stand: Available for selected LED neon designs. Two clear acrylic panels are secured together so the neon appears inside a transparent display box.
Acrylic Base Stand: Available for selected LED neon designs. A clear acrylic base runs along the bottom of the sign to support it as a freestanding display.
Display Base: Selected traditional glass neon designs can be mounted on a sturdy base, creating a freestanding sign with a classic tabletop neon appearance.
Can I adjust the brightness?
Selecting LED Neon with the Dimmable add-on gives your sign a wireless remote control, letting you adjust brightness levels to suit any setting or mood. Please note: due to international shipping restrictions on batteries, the remote is shipped without a battery — you'll need to insert your own battery before first use.
Glass neon signs feature an integrated dimmer within the transformer itself, so brightness is adjusted directly via the control dial on the transformer unit — no separate remote is included with this option.
What is Backing Cut to Shape?
Standard
Rectangular Backing
If Backing Cut to Shape is not selected, your sign will be supplied with a full rectangular acrylic backing panel.
Optional
Backing Cut to Shape
The acrylic backing follows the outer contour of the design, giving the sign a cleaner, more minimal finished appearance.
Available on Request
Cut-to-Letter Backing
The acrylic is cut closely around individual letters or design elements, making the backing less visible. This option is not currently listed in our online store. Please email us to confirm whether it is suitable for your design.
Please note: These shape options are available only for selected LED and traditional glass neon signs with acrylic backing. They do not apply to ACP, metal-frame, or other non-acrylic backing options. Availability may also depend on the design and construction of the sign, so please contact us if you are unsure.
Do you make blinking or flickering signs?
Yes, our technical team can program this effect for you. Please email us for a custom quote.
Can a neon sign be used outdoors?
Standard LED and traditional glass neon signs are designed for indoor use. They may be used temporarily at outdoor events in dry, mild weather, but must be protected from rain, moisture, extreme temperatures, strong winds, and other harsh conditions.
Outdoor-compatible construction is available for selected LED neon signs only . The LED sign body can be made water-resistant using protective sealing, but it is not fully waterproof and must never be submerged. Depending on the design, protective end caps or sealing may be slightly visible when the sign is switched off.
The power supply, dimmer, plug, and any unsealed connectors are not waterproof. They must remain indoors or be placed in a properly sheltered, weatherproof location. For best results, install outdoor-compatible signs in an area protected from prolonged rain, severe weather, and vandalism.
Can detailed artwork be engraved?
Yes. When a design includes fine details that are too small to reproduce in actual neon at your chosen size, those elements can instead be engraved into the acrylic backing. Engraved details don't emit light themselves, but they catch the surrounding glow from nearby neon, adding depth and detail to the design without requiring a larger, more costly sign.
Can detailed artwork be UV printed?
Yes. Full-color artwork and fine details can be UV printed directly onto the acrylic backing, with neon added only to the parts of the design that should glow. This is a great way to preserve every detail of your artwork, especially when the complete design can't be reproduced with neon outlines alone. By printing certain details instead of building them entirely in neon, you can often reduce both the size and the cost of your sign. Please contact us to discuss whether engraving or UV printing is the better fit for your design.
Power, Cables & Plugs
How is the sign powered?
Most neon signs plug into a standard power outlet.
LED neon signs include a power supply and a plug suitable for the destination country.
Traditional glass neon signs include a US plug. For destinations outside the United States, a suitable plug adapter is also provided.
Selected small LED neon signs may be available with USB power and can be used with a compatible power bank. This option is not suitable for every design, and a power bank is not included unless stated on the product page.
Please contact us before ordering if you require a specific power option.
How long is the power cable?
LED neon signs include approximately 2 m (78 in) of clear cable as standard.
Traditional glass neon signs include approximately 1.8 m (6 ft) of black cable as standard.
If you need a longer cable, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the available options.
Lifetime & Care
How long will a neon sign last?
Both LED and traditional glass neon signs can last for many years. Their lifespan depends on usage, installation, and environmental conditions. As a general guide, both types commonly provide around 3–5 years of use.
To help your sign last longer, install it correctly, keep standard indoor signs dry, avoid extreme temperatures, and switch it off when it is not needed.
Installation
How do I install an LED neon sign?
Depending on your design and backing, there are several ways to install an LED neon sign:
Mount it to the wall — your parcel includes a screw set tailored to your sign, making wall mounting quick and straightforward.
Hang it from the ceiling — just let us know before production, and we'll pre-drill the acrylic backing accordingly and include the appropriate hanging wire.
Use clear 3M strips — this works well for smaller signs measuring 50 cm or less. Always confirm that your wall surface and the strips can safely support the weight of the sign before applying.
If your sign can't be mounted or hung, we also offer a stand option for compatible designs.
How do I install a traditional glass neon sign?
Traditional glass neon signs come with a chain included, so you can easily hang your sign on the wall. Since the glass tubing is delicate, please handle it carefully and follow the installation instructions provided with your sign.
